The Best of Gamut

"A red thread runs through this work, Gamut's latest flagship anthology, its dark tales spliced with grief, the warp twisted with ghostly gossamer and the weft shot with blood, so that the final weave is something inherently strong and exquisitely beautiful. Featuring some of horror's finest storytellers, The Best of Gamut is a stunning exemplar of Richard Thomas's editorial vision and Gamut's enduring quality. An instant classic." —Lee Murray, five-time Bram Stoker Award-winning author of Grotesque: Monster Stories.

The Best of Gamut contains fifteen stories of dark, speculative fiction that were originally published online at Gamut magazine in 2017. Hand-selected by editor Richard Thomas and his staff, this anthology includes a wide range of stories—a gamut of human emotions you might say. There is fantasy, science fiction, and horror. There is old and new weird. There are clowns and monsters, clones and spiders, existential dread and buried secrets, time travel and even a few prairie dogs. These genre-bending, hybrid stories represent some of the biggest and brightest authors writing today.
